"THEATER, THE IMAGINED AND ENACTED WORLDS OF HUMAN BEINGS" Theater is another art form in which students can learn what it means to be a human being in vicarious settings. In these classes the student's thoughts and feelings can be safely explored and experienced. There will be warm-ups, theater terms and games, relaxation and memorization techniques, improvisation, scriptwriting, role-playing, scene studies, and plenty of group work. There will always be a development of characters in particular circumstances; there will be situations created followed by actions that will allow the student to make sense of their world and to understand those who are different from them.

Ages 11-17: Since young people aren't always ready to articulate who they are or what they want, or even who they want to be, this class will provide a discipline and a creative focus that will allow them to explore their identities and roles in the world.
Ages- 11-17 Pre homework: Create a collage using magazines, pictures, books, symbols representing your bedroom. The pictures need to evoke a mood that you want your room to portray. For instance if someone looked inside your room, what would they learn about you.
